I was asked to mix a track for another band I am friends with. I did my first mix and I ran into the guitarist and drummer battle. They both want to be in the front of the mix. I always have to find the happy middle they can both compromise with. One reason when I mix down a song I mix it by myself otherwise you get the turn me up syndrome. I get into the same battle when I mix down my own band's music. I do tell them though when you mix a song it's not separate parts that make the song. It's how everything fits together to make the songs bigger picture. Rant over!

I 've been using Reaper for years. @danny

Crazy - I have never heard of reaper. Thats a first! I assume it supports 3rd party VSTs and Audio Units?

It does everything a more expensive DAW does including VST and VSTi. Instead of paying hundreds or thousands for a DAW I paid $60.00. It does everything I need it to do. @danny
