Agility Robotics at PROMAT

For those of you who didn't make it to the promat show this year, Agility Robotics was showing off their biped robot Digit. Unlike the Boston Dynamics units, these units are actually designed for production. They've already gone through trials and they already have a client waiting to buy. It sounds like these units will be going into full production starting in 2025. Digit can lift up to 35 lbs at 120 picks an hour.

A study by Cornell Uni found that New Yorkers were friendly to two robotic trash cans in Greenwich Village. People welcomed and appreciated the robots offering trash and help. They were constructed simply with no face-like features, a standard 32-gallon can, a Raspberry Pi 4 and a 360-degree camera.

Chronus Robotics created a 40 kg powerchair that is controlled by upper body movements and allows the user's hands to be free. It can change the height from sitting to standing in seconds, travel at 20 km/h, and is agile even in narrow spaces. It has a positive effect on the user's spine and thorax.

Testing printed worm gear. I plan this assembly to have a brass worm and nylon gear, but i can’t afford to machine those at the moment. I will keep testing this to destruction anyhow, as i am curious to see how this will hold up.
