Life is too short so we need to take care ourselves. If we don't love our life, there are so many people who want us . It came to my mind when I'm feeling so low, but I need to give it courage to stand up and go moving forward. In this reason, I love going to the doctor monthly for check up of my blood pressure and blood sugar. Then if I want to know more about my health I asked the doctor to have laboratory test.
I have insurance under my boss and everytime I went to the doctor, it's free.. I had E.C.G before the surgery of my eye last 2018 . It was normal. There was a time that I became sleepless and every afternoon, before the sunset, my eyes wanted to sleep but my mind was awake. I also had palpitation of my heart. The doctor said since I am growing older, everything has a changes. The palpitations was due to my hypertension. There is no headache so the doctor worried about it. Hypertension with a sign of having a headache is better than feeling normal but our blood is already in risk level. Then, my sugar is normal. My liver and kidney are also good. The doctor amazed about the results but still I need maintenance for my hypertension. It will cause damage toy kidney and heart if I will not take maintenance for it.
Now I am 54 years old. My mother died as a dialysis patient. She had blood sugar. It might happen to me too if I will not give importance about my hypertension medicine. For now I am taking my medicine regularly. Then she also gave me Centrum multivitamin.
I am not relying on my medicine, I am now concerned about my food intake. Then. I have a regular walk 3 times a week for 3km per walk. I don't sleep a lot, My regular sleep time is only 5 to 6 hours per day for 27 years. I am a housekeeper , I kept on moving in a whole day. I eat a lot of fruits what ever it is that I found in fridge.
I am not taking a bath after work. Regularly, I take a bath after sleeping in the morning. Be sure to relax for a while, drink a glass of water before rushing in the bath room. Be careful and put water first your feet going upward and the last is your head.
If you feel broken hearted, just cry it out louder. It will lessen the pain . Tears will wipe away the pain inside. For the young ladies, do not take a bath during menstruation. Just cleanse yourself , change your underwear and dress but taking a bath is bad fory opinion and I learned it from my grandmother.
The last time I visited a doctor was three weeks ago, but instead of seeing a general practitioner, I opted for a Bioresonance session. I tend to avoid pills, especially those containing chemicals, which is why I prefer this alternative approach.
Bioresonance therapy is a holistic method that uses electromagnetic frequencies to assess and balance the body’s energy systems. This technique allows practitioners to perform comprehensive check-ups and identify issues that traditional medical examinations might miss. For example, bioresonance can detect imbalances at the cellular level, including stressors from environmental toxins, allergies, and even emotional blockages, providing a more thorough understanding of one’s health.
During my session, everything looked good except for my potassium levels, which were low. Low potassium, or hypokalemia, can lead to a range of health issues, including muscle weakness, cramps, fatigue, and even irregular heart rhythms. In severe cases, it can cause respiratory issues and digestive problems due to muscle weakness in the intestines.
This experience has motivated me to focus on improving my potassium intake through dietary sources like bananas, spinach, and sweet potatoes, as well as through supplementation.
I’m also taking cream of tartar, which the doctor advised to help raise my potassium levels. Cream of tartar can also be used for cooking, making it a versatile addition to my diet. She also recommended taking Liv52 to cleanse my liver, as people in Mauritius are not accustomed to liver cleansing. This liver cleansing should ideally be done every six months to ensure optimal liver function. Additionally, I’ve started taking Boswellia for healthy joints.
My next appointment is on December 6 to check if my potassium levels have returned to normal.
Let's take care of our health, Tanglers! It’s easy to overlook our well-being, especially when we feel fine on the surface. However, our bodies can be quietly signaling underlying issues that we might not even be aware of. Regular check-ups and being proactive about our health can make a significant difference in catching any potential problems early on.
Taking care of our health is important, and regular check-ups help us do that. For me, staying healthy means being aware of how I feel and making good choices.
Five years ago, I was rushed to the hospital because one morning, I woke up feeling like the house was spinning. I couldn't walk because I was so dizzy, and I kept on vomiting. After undergoing all the necessary tests, including an ECG and blood test, I found out I had a high blood pressure attack 130/100 (Hypertension Stage 2). It was my first experience, but it wasn't entirely surprising, as high blood pressure runs in the family on both sides. This experience is why I have my monthly health check-up now. Currently, I'm on medication maintenance with Losartan 50. It's important for my doctor to monitor my progress and adjust my medication if necessary.
Aside from daily blood pressure monitoring using a home digital BP reader, I've learned that exercising for 30 minutes helps keep my blood pressure in a good range, so I make sure to include that in my daily routine. I'm also doing my best to eat healthy foods as much as possible. These habits really helped me feel more in control of my health.
Good day everyone! I’m Eugene, and like all of you, I’ve got my own wellness journey with its ups and downs. Earlier this year, on April 25, 2024, I had a wellness assessment that ended up revealing a bit more than I bargained for.
After a rough bike trail accident left me with a few broken ribs, an X-ray showed not only the damage from the fall but also a surprise diagnosis—minor scoliosis. So, while I was focused on mending bones, I realized I’d also need to be proactive about my spine health.
Since then, I’ve set a few wellness goals that I’m working on daily. First, I believe strongly in regular medical check-ups. Sure, it’s not always the most exciting part of a wellness plan, but it’s essential. Those regular assessments can catch issues early on and keep us in tune with our health.
Beyond check-ups, I make it a point to incorporate simple, manageable goals. Stretching exercises have become a daily habit, especially to support my back. Small things, like setting aside just 10 minutes each morning to stretch, help tremendously. I also invested in a better chair at home for posture support.
Trust me—it’s the little things we can do each day that add up over time. Another priority for me has been staying active but also learning to pace myself. We all have different limits, and it’s important to listen to our bodies.
For those of you who push hard, remember, rest is just as vital as movement. And finally, I’ve embraced a healthier diet, focusing on anti-inflammatory foods to help with healing. Eating well, I find, makes all the difference. I look at it as fueling my body to work with me, not against me.
So, if I could leave you with a few wellness tips today, they’d be this: have regular check-ups, make rest as much a part of your routine as exercise, and stay mindful of what you’re putting into your body. In the end, wellness isn’t just a goal—it’s a lifestyle choice we make every day.

Hey Everyone 🙋🏻♀️ I had my annual health assessment yesterday. I’m happy with the numbers except my blood pressure. I’ve been managing with meds and healthy lifestyle however yesterday it was high 160/80. It’s a good reminder that even when we stay on top of things, health sometimes needs extra attention.
Task: 1. I’m curious, when was the last time you had a wellness/medical assessment? 2. Share your best tips on any wellness goal you’re currently working on to stay on top of your health.
