What is this 2” wooden coin with mystery inlay?
Thrift found this mystery coin/token/thing in a box made by Wyrmwood (a company that makes D&D/tabletop accessories — dice vaults, DM screens, etc.). I don't know if it belongs in that box, or just accidentally in there.
The wood is very lightweight, like spalted maple. Single-sided design, back is completely plain. The inlay looks like crushed abalone and resin monogram or rune. Does it say DM?
Reverse image search shows no matches. eBay search for Wyrmwood didn’t find any matches. I’m guessing it’s related to a specific game.

First Sicilian Exchange Sacrifice?
Hi everyone! I was doing some research into the history of the Sicilian Defense, particularly the Dragon, and came across what may be some of the earliest examples of the famous exchange sacrifice.
I found a couple of really old games from 1907 and 1908, including one involving Emanuel Lasker, the 2nd World Champion. They're pretty fascinating, especially because Lasker himself annotated the games.
