I am an introvert, but as the eldest daughter, I learned early how to explore the road first so my younger siblings could navigate it well.
When I came here, I chose to stay home most of the time. I enjoy the peace, the sense of security, and the comfort of well provided food.
Yesterday though, I found myself craving quiet exploration on my own, as I used to in the province. I followed that urge. I went out alone and discovered small things along the way.
I did not even know that from CCF BGC, I could pass through the well talked, "trendy" BGC portal. I literally saw it by accident.
I ended up in Market Market as planned, and there happened to be an event, so it was very congested.
I still managed to get a massage, with live singing in the background. “Golden” by Anne Curtis was playing on stage. I'm reminded of Sachi for she likes the song.
I ordered food for takeout.
I just could not eat there.😬
At night, Diane talked about wanting to live in the city (again haha), while I long for the province.
Maybe we are not meant to be where we want, but where we are needed.
Perhaps our calling is to water the ground beneath our feet and let it grow green in its own time.
I am grateful.
I feel like I have found my rhythm again. Even if a quiet voice inside me whispers that joy never stays too long, I choose to be present while it is here.☺️
