Sometimes, its all about the perspective. Welcome to the tenth 'Fairy Fresh' release of my compact-fiction series called #FairyTinyTales ! Enjoy!

"Lucas had always been too scared to climb trees, but he knew he eventually would not be able to escape having to do it. One day, as he and his friends were exploring a new woods, Lucas's friends Sabrina and Jake urged him to conquer his fear and join them in the branches. 'Come on, man,' Sabrina said, grinning. 'It's not like we're asking you to climb Mount Everest.' Jake chimed in. 'Yeah, and we'll be right here to catch you if you fall. So what do you say?' Lucas hesitated at first, but with a deep breath, he began to hoist himself up the tree. It was terrifying. The ground seemed to grow more distant with every inch he ascended. But as he climbed, he started to feel a sense of exhilaration.

Maybe this wasn't so bad, after all. Eventually, Lucas reached what felt like a great height - at least 20 feet off the ground, he estimated. He looked down at his friends. 'I did it!' he yelled triumphantly. Sabrina and Jake applauded a little, but then they glanced up at him. "Uh, Lucas," Jake said slowly. 'You do realize you're only about three feet off the ground, right?' Lucas's heart sank as he saw that his friends were right. He felt embarrassed, but also a little relieved - at least he had climbed a tree, even if it wasn't as impressive as he had thought. From that day on, he wasn't quite as afraid of climbing - and he learned a valuable lesson about perspective. Jake patted Lucas and said, 'Y'know, a big thing for one, could be a small thing for another, but we all have to start somewhere'".
