Why did Nabakov dislike Dostoyevsky so much?
I appreciate that their styles are different, and that their motives for writing differed in many ways, too. But from interviews, it appears he really loathed him and his writing. Even more surprisingly, many of the writers Nabakov liked and admired, liked Dostoyevsky (James Joyce, Tolstoy, etc.)
