Wishing you a joyful summer
Work, inequality, *A.I. jobpocalypse*, **the dawn of the trillionaires**, the trenches of late capitalism — we are all here because we know these things can get in the way of what really matters. Wishing you a few moments of pure joy this summer with the people, pets, places, teams, instruments, books, paint brushes, fishing rods, tripods, grills/pans/ovens, overpriced six packs, board games with missing pieces, mugs with grimey handles, cloudy terrariums, telescopes on patchy lawns, living room rugs covered toys (minefields really...), moldy hammocks, stained trail maps, springy houseplants, disorganized felt markers and dusty sidewalk chalk, posters that have been there forever you suddenly notice, denim clothes soaked through with sweat, roller skates weaving around pot holes, red-faced hot sauce underestimations, dueling baseball gloves, the smell of campfire on everyone's clothes the morning after, dumbass magic tricks, knitting needles plunged into never-ending spools of yarn, crusty boots by the front door, faded lawn chairs rusting at every joint, remote controls with the most important buttons frozen in chocolate, crossword puzzles seemingly designed to stump you, the sound of motorcycles just far enough away to be soothing, wildly comfortable beanbag chairs with duct tape over leaks... **any, and all, things that matter to you.**
