I built an app for Pakistanis to help understand the Qur’an we already recite, looking for honest feedback 🇵🇰
Assalamualaikum everyone,
I’ve been working on something for the past while that I’d love to get some honest feedback from Pakistanis here.
The idea came from a pretty simple realization:
**A lot of us can recite portions of the Qur’an, but we don’t necessarily understand the meaning of the words we’re reciting.**
So I built **WellVersed:** an app designed to help people learn Qur’anic Arabic **one word at a time**, rather than trying to learn Arabic as a conventional language course.
For each word, you can see:
📖 The original Arabic 🔤 Transliteration 🇬🇧 English meaning 🇵🇰 Urdu meaning 🌱 The Arabic root 📜 The Qur’anic verse where the word appears 🔊 Audio to help with pronunciation/recitation
And I've also been adding other ways to explore Islamic knowledge, including:
📚 Hadith organised by topic 🤲 Masnoon Duas ✨ 99 Names of Allah 🎧 Qur’an listening 🧠 Quizzes and learning progress 🤖 WiseBuddy AI for asking questions and exploring topics
The goal isn't to replace a teacher, scholar, madrassah or traditional learning.
It's simply to make it **ridiculously easy to learn a little bit whenever you have a few spare minutes** — on your commute, before sleeping, while travelling, etc.
And honestly, I'm posting here because **I want people to tear it apart.** 😂
If you download it, I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on:
* What's confusing? * What feels unnecessary? * What would make you come back every day? * What features would you want added? * Is the Urdu/English experience useful? * And most importantly — **would you actually use something like this?**
I'm particularly interested in feedback from people in Pakistan because I want to make sure this isn't just another app designed around a Western audience and then translated into Urdu afterwards.
