Probably more of a question for the diaspora, but would you use a Duolingo-style app for African languages?
Before anyone mentions it, I know it’s not that simple. There are hundrends of languages, multiple dialects, different pronunciations, differences between spoken and written forms, “school” vs everyday speech, regional variations… the list goes on.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people in the diaspora can’t speak their family’s heritage language, and good learning resources can be difficult to find or access.
\- Do you think something like this would actually work? \- Would you use it? \- Is there a real need for it? \- What have you tried so far \- If you wouldn’t use it, why not?
are you happy with the options that already exist? #local
