I've read Invitation to a Beheading and Laughter in the Dark and loved both of them, but I've found the prose in The Gift particularly challenging to follow: longer sentences and much more abstract concepts to grasp.
I'm almost 200 pages in (chapter 3) and while I'm in love with Nabokov's wordsmithing and versatility, I feel like I'm not getting the most out of this novel as I often find myself rereading passages and still wondering whether I've actually understood them!
Two questions:
1) Am i crazy?
2) What would you say are Nabokov's three hardest novels to read? #entertainment
