UK Passport Application in China for Newborn
UK citizen with a new baby in Shanghai. Has anybody completed the application process for her passport from China?
My understanding is we apply through gov.uk http://gov.uk, but where will we make the "in-person appointment" (the Shanghai consulate doesn't seem to know)? Do we need to produce original copies of our birth certificates, parent's birth certificates? Should the Chinese hospital's birth certificate be "officially" translated (most but not all sections have English translation anyway).
Any help would be fantastic. Hope I'm not alone here!
