What does pokemon mean to you?
30 years of pokemon and out of my 32 years of life i can't remember a time where it wasn't a core interest for me. I remember begging my mom to rent the VHS tapes from blockbuster on friday nights, playing blue and yellow on my OG gameboy and trading cards at recess.
Now as an adult i absolutely spend way too much money on merch, cards, figures and plushies lol
For me as i got older pokemon became a pillar of safety and comfort. Maybe im the equivelant of a disney adult for pokemon but i can't imagine living a life where its not a central part or my personality.
So what does pokemon mean to you?
