A timelapse of just 7 minutes at 2:20 AM, on a random day, Govardhan Parikrama Marg, India
This video is of a random night, not of festive season, nor of a special day. Just one of the 365.
What I have recorded is just one side of the divider. Behind me, was an equally staggering crowd, walking on a sandy footpath.
Govardhan Parikrama is a religious circumambulation around the sacred hill, Govardhan. It is a total of 21 km walk. Mostly, people do this parikrama **barefooted**, but a small number of people do it with special slippers. Some, who are not able to do it physically, do it by renting an e-rickshaw.
There are also some special methods of doing this parikrama, one which you can see in the video, some people are lying on the ground, standing up, then lying again exactly from where their hands reached last time, and so on. It can take days, or maybe a week.
There are more, one of which includes something related to 108 rock pieces- it can take much more, maybe months even.. #fun #entertainment #interesting
