One of my photo is going to be a part of the NZ's national museum's collection
About 10 years ago I was contacted about submitting some of my photos of Auckland to a local company that produced post cards. Today I got an email from the company saying the national museum wants to reproduce some of their post cards for their collection and that includes one of my photo. There's no extra money to be made but I think this is pretty cool. I think it's made me proud to have an image be part of the museum collection. I think that's kind of cool, especially as an immigrant to the country. I've added a little tiny something to this collection even if the image itself isn't anything groundbreaking. I've had this strange thing happen to me this past year or so where I just stopped posting to social media, a mix of being too busy and not caring about likes and shit so maybe in some way it's nice to know that something I've made will be viewed by others. I just thought it was cool and wanted to share but I'm not trying to brag or anything. I wish it was for a better photo but I'll take what I can get.
