Canadian Drone Pilot questions…

Hey guys, couple of questions I’m having a hard time with:

1. The Mini 5 Pro is 249.9g +/- a couple grams, and definitely overweight the moment a filter or bigger battery or basically anything is added. Is it safe to operate this as a mini drone in BC, or is it a smarter idea to register it (rec. use only)?

2. I’ve read a few things about drones being prohibited from beaches. I’m ok with this, I don’t want anyone to feel like I’m spying on them. Does this apply to coastlines? The local coast where I live has some very minimal/rocky beach that I think would be cool to film. There is a train that runs by here. I’m in BC. I know there are occasionally eagles through here and don’t want to disturb them, or be seen as someone who is agitating.

3. I have lots of photography experience from earlier in life when I had free time. I’m interested in using a drone to kind of rehash this hobby. Am I right to choose the M5P? I realize the value of a 1inch sensor for dynamic range (and more).

4. Neighborhood use: we have a local park (like a big field, not a national park). Is this a suitable place to get some flight practice in? Can I operate the drone over the street by my house? When it says not flying it over private residences… how exactly does that work? Can I fly it in my backyard (obviously nearby homes would be in view).

Thanks for any input, I do appreciate it!
