Here is the history of 4th muharm-ul-haram.
4th Muharram – 61 AH
1. Arrival of Yazid's Army at Karbala:
Around the 2nd to 4th of Muharram, more troops loyal to Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad (governor of Kufa under Yazid) started arriving near Karbala.
Yazid’s army was gradually growing under the command of Umar ibn Sa'ad, who was sent to confront Imam Hussain (a.s.).
2. Pressure Begins on Imam Hussain (a.s.):
Around this time, negotiations were still ongoing. Umar ibn Sa'ad was hesitant to begin a battle and tried to convince Imam Hussain to submit to Yazid.
Imam Hussain (a.s.) refused to pledge allegiance to an unjust ruler, staying firm on his principles.
3. Karbala Becomes Surrounded:
Troops began surrounding the camp of Imam Hussain (a.s.), cutting off paths and trying to limit water access.
The situation started becoming more tense and dangerous, especially for the family and companions of the Imam.
