🤖 The World Humanoid Robot Games opened in Beijing with organisers reporting a humanoid 100-metre time of 9.39 seconds, faster than Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second human world-record time.
The five-day event is in its second year and involves more than 2,000 humanoid robots, 51 events and over 1,000 competitions, including running, table tennis and football.
A separate pre-opening trial saw Honor’s Lightning robot clock 9.32 seconds, according to the company. AP also reported a 2.88-metre standing high jump by a robot from Beijing-based X-Humanoid. ⚙️
