What do you do when you feel unmotivated?
i know we all get that feeling outside of chess to, people with our age doing stuff like winning grammies or getting married, but I'll obviously focus on this in chess.
I feel like such a chud when younger kids like 10 years old have more ELO than me, but this worsened when a friend of mine learn chess recently and has been on fire. Im a 1000 ELO yet I can't beat him (hes 800) I don't want to trashtalk friends but It throws me off when he acts like he is the absolute grandmaster of chess and tries to correct my moves and make comments like "How didn't you see that move blah blah blah". I like take constructive criticism but genuinely It annoys me so bad.
I wanted to go back to studying the game but I wasn't motivated, now that thought is definitely crushed because I feel like I suck too much to be playing chess, I already got some advice but still feel like an absolute bum.
