You are given two indistinguishable envelopes containing money. One contains twice as much as the other. You pick one and find $100. Should you switch to the other envelope?

💡 SCIENCE BEHIND THE ILLUSION:

Expected value logic suggests: with 50% chance it has $200, and 50% chance it has $50. E = (0.5 × 200) + (0.5 × 50) = $125. Since $125 > $100, you should switch! But by this logic, you should switch back and forth forever! The paradox arises from improperly assuming a uniform probability distribution over an infinite range.
