A reading from the Gospel of Matthew 22::1-14
πΏ Summary
Jesus tells the parable of the wedding banquet to show that God invites everyone into His kingdom. However, accepting His invitation means more than simply saying yes; we must also allow His love to change how we live. We are called to practise grace, compassion, kindness and justice, and to welcome others as God welcomes
π Reflection
Godβs invitation is open to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. But am I truly living according to the values of His kingdom? It is easy to speak about love and grace, yet the real test is how we treat others, especially those who feel rejected or overlooked.
Today, I am reminded that wearing the βclothes of the kingdomβ means allowing Jesus to shape my heart and actions. May I be a person who makes others feel welcomed, valued and loved, reflecting the same grace God has shown me.
π Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your gracious invitation to be part of Your kingdom. Please shape my heart to become more like Jesus. Help me to show compassion, kindness and understanding to everyone I meet, especially those who feel forgotten or rejected. May my words and actions reflect Your love and grace, and may I always make room for others at Your table. In Jesusβ name, Amen.
