Rent a schoolie/ 350/450/ ambulance conversion for few days? Northeast US
I've rented camper vans before, and I've also driven RVs and U-Haul-style box trucks, but I've never actually spent the night in a converted box truck, ambulance, or similar setup. At this point, I really want to try one to see whether that type of conversion might work better for me than a typical Transit-style van.
I've been researching different builds for years, but I think I've reached the point where I need firsthand experience rather than more research. I'm especially interested in both the driving experience and what it's like to actually live and sleep in one overnight. I can drive a box truck, but there's a noticeable difference; the box truck feels much more like driving a boat, whereas a van feels almost like an SUV. What I don't know yet is whether the extra living space makes that tradeoff worthwhile for me, which is really what I'm hoping to figure out by renting one for a few days.
