ran the numbers on the musso e80 muse for petite frames after 18 months
i am an accountant. i calculate cost per use in my sleep. first post here. correct me if the format is off. i used to think a 100 amazon chair was good enough. i spent 500 plus across 3 cheap chairs over 5 years. all broke or gave me back pain. i am 158cm. standard chairs run deep on seat depth and lumbar placement. my colleague's 12 year old herman miller is still going strong but the seat is too deep for me. a footrest does not fix that.
so i ran the numbers properly. i started hunting for a chair actually built for petite frames. i landed on the musso e80 muse.
why i chose it. the seat depth is shorter than standard chairs. no pressure behind the knees. the lumbar placement is accurate for shorter torsos. no add on cushion needed. the build quality is surprisingly solid for the price point. the cost is about one third of major brands.
18 months in. the mesh has not sagged. support is still there. adjustment mechanisms are still tight. the lumbar support is still hitting the right spot.
what is still uncertain. the brand is too new. nobody knows if it will last 10 years. if the cost per year math does not hold past 5 years, i should have bought the expensive brand upfront. the recline tension adjustment is not as refined as premium chairs.
a chair is the only piece of furniture you sit in for 8 plus hours a day. for petite people, a well fitting chair matters more than a famous brand. a poorly proportioned chair amplifies every ergonomic flaw. petite folks. when you bought your chair, did you prioritize fit or brand reputation? has anyone here gambled on a niche petite specific chair? i do not reply to comments often. mostly lazy. but i read them. #lifestyle source
