Are any conversion van bench beds actually comfortable?
I’m looking at conversion vans and keep finding really nice ones that haven’t been converted for camping yet. I’m open to doing the build myself for the right van, but I’m wondering about the built-in bench/bed setups.
Some of the plush leather interiors look great as seats, but terrible once folded into a bed because they look lumpy as hell. Older flatter benches honestly look more comfortable.
Did you keep the original bench bed, or rip it out and build something else anyway? Trying to figure out how much weight I should put on the bench/bed setup while shopping.
