How important is dc-dc charger in a solar system?
Hi all - I am designing a solar system for my van. The system will only be used to power an airplus deluxe fan. I was planning to use 400w solar total mounted to unaka rack, a 200ah lifep04 battery (most likely Vatrer or ecoworthy), and victron mppt 100/30 solar controller. I have toyed back and forth with adding a dc-dc charger, but based on my calcuations the fan uses such little power, that I am not sure I need to worry much about the dc-dc charger. The dc-dc charger adds extra cost and work to build the system, so was not sure it was worth the time. But, of course I am no expert and figured it would help to get some other opinions! Any thoughts, suggestions, or comments would be greatly appreciated!
