Did I just lie to my kids?
We didn’t upgrade our Xbox this year like I hoped to. We upgraded the kids’ gaming pc instead. We have Game Pass ultimate, and they’ve enjoyed being able to play all the games.
They ended up getting gift cards for Christmas. My youngest bought Madden 24 without issue. My oldest wanted games that weren’t available for the Xbox One. He was a bit bummed about that.
I chatted with them about pooling their Christmas money and allowance to buy a new series X or S. They were worried that the games they just purchased would be essentially wasted money, because they were purchased for the One. I said it shouldn’t be a problem. That they’d be able to play those games on a new Xbox. Am I incorrect?
