Just getting ready to start my van life journey, and I’m worried about picking the wrong vehicle.
I’m a 41m, 6’4” and healthy. I’m finally at a point where I have no obligations and nothing me tying me down to my hometown, and I’m ready to live out a dream I’ve had for decades. The problem is, it’s very daunting to shop for a van. I’m looking almost exclusively for a high roof ford transit, but I’m seeing a ton of pro masters that are in my price range as well. I’ve heard some not so great things about the pro master, but I haven’t heard many bad things about the transit. I want to fully gut it and do it right, and I want it to last a while. I know you can’t assume that there won’t be unknown issues/breakdowns, but I want something that I can rely on with regular maintenance. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
