LPT: Struggle with cleaning? Use the one-room technique: pick one room and don't leave until its done. Leave items that have to go elsewhere just outside the door, so you're not constantly walking in and out of the room.
Cleaning a bedroom might involve bringing laundry downstairs, bringing empty water glasses to the kitchen, putting books back on the shelf in the living room, etc.
I don't run up and down stairs 10 times, I leave everything in the hallway just outside the bedroom, and finish the bedroom. THEN, I deal with the clutter, which is now obvious. I make fewer trips, and have a clean room for my efforts.
