If I were in that situation, yes, I would pick up the gun, but my goal would not be to kill. My aim is to stop the attacker from getting away and causing more harm. If it came down to it and I have no choice, I would use the gun and pull the trigger just to protect and make sure my loved is safe. I know it's a huge responsibility, but in that moment, I would do whatever it takes to stop the danger even if I have to face the consequences later. (But I would really hope it doesn't go that far. 😁)

It's understandable to think about how far you'd go to protect your loved ones. In a life-or-death situation, it's hard to predict what actions you’d take, but the instinct to protect is powerful. Hopefully, it never comes to that, and you're always able to find a way out without things escalating too far! Safety first, and hopefully, no need for tough decisions like that. 😅
