At what temperature in summer do you stop riding?
Summer is in full force out here in the desert. We've hit our first 100F day already and I was cooking like a steamed vegetable up in my gear while commuting home.
Normally, I'd be alright in this heat, but the problems happen when I 1. hit traffic, or 2. get stuck at a light. Which... my commute happens to have a significant occurrences of both. Normally the traffic part is relatively chill, but there's a few spots where I can't lane split just because of how the roads are built.
So I've barred myself from riding if the temps are going to get over 94F, because at that point I may as well be digging my own grave instead. Luckily the week is starting to cool a bit into the mid 80s, so I should be fine, but tomorrow I'll still need to take my car, sadly... curse you 99F heat.
Also, fuck the hot wind that comes with anything above 90F. Makes me feel like I'm in an air fryer.
