Victorian Kitchen Renovation into a Stunning Party Venue! | Birdsall House
On a recent visit to Yorkshire, I stopped off at beautiful Birdsall House, home of my dear friend Lady Cara Willoughby and her family.
After the First World War, Birdsall became the main home of the Willoughby family. Originally dating from the mid sixteenth century, the building has been added onto by generations – being adapted in the 1720s to the Georgian style. It stands in the most stunning landscape and so it’s no wonder that events and weddings take place throughout the year. Birdsall House at heart though is a family home – and one room at the center of modern family life is the kitchen. In 2019 the newly renovated kitchen won the Historic Houses Kitchen Award and now a new and ambitious kitchen transformation on a grand scale is taking shape in the basement of the house.
