Why does Xbox delete our saved screenshots and video captures from local storage vs allow us to keep the files?
I asked a Microsoft engineer about why Xbox deletes locally saved screenshots and game video captures saved on your local Xbox storage and he responded ‘no they only delete what’s in the cloud for space, not what’s on your device’
When I told him that they do delete what’s on your personal local storage and that none of this policy had ever been publicly announced or brought to user attention even he couldn’t explain it and thought it was really odd

Is there any reason that Xbox seems to be the only system maker that deletes users captures and video - effectively ripping out years of personal content that isn’t even stored in the cloud? Seems to be absolutely no reason to be touching user data like they have or deleting your own customers content from their own personal storage devices
