Freelance pricing for an analytics dashboard + SaaS MVP?
I got a freelance project through a friend and I'm trying to figure out a reasonable price.
Scope (phase 1):
- Import data from API or CSV
- Build an analytics dashboard (sales, ads, traffic etc.)
- KPI metrics
- AI summary using an LLM
Phase 2 (later):
- multi-tenant
- client accounts
- admin panel
Client is an ecommerce marketing agency with ~100 clients.
They want to use the tool internally and possibly sell it to their clients as a SaaS.
I’m a solo developer and estimate around 180–250 hours for phase 1.
What would you normally charge for something like this?
I was originally thinking around $6k–$7k but I'm worried that might be too low.
