Landscapers/restoration people: what makes plant selection difficult in real projects?
I’m researching how people choose species for landscaping, restoration, agroforestry, and ecological projects. In theory, the process should consider rainfall, soil, sun, water availability, maintenance, biodiversity value, and availability from nurseries. In practice, I suspect people often rely on habit, nursery stock, client preference, or whatever is locally available. For those who work in this space: what usually goes wrong? #local
