3m × 5m Cyclorama for Aerial Photography — Looking for Ideas
**Looking for ideas for a portable DIY cyclorama/backdrop for aerial photography**
I’m a photographer primarily shooting **circus aerialists, especially aerial silks**, and I’m looking for ideas for a portable backdrop setup I can take into different circus schools.
A lot of the schools have pretty ugly walls, mats, equipment, etc., so I want to create a controlled studio-looking space without spending a fortune. What I’m thinking about: \-Around **3 m wide** \-Around **5 m of total fabric,** with roughly 3 m going vertically and 2 m extending onto the floor \-Ideally a **curved transition from wall to floor**, similar to a small cyclorama/infinity wall \-Needs to be reasonably portable and break down for transport Preferably DIY and modular rather than buying an expensive commercial cyclorama
I’ve seen DIY builds using **aluminum T-slot extrusion, metal track, or flexible track** where the bottom can curve from vertical to horizontal, but I can’t remember exactly what system I saw.
I’m also open to completely different approaches if there are better ways to make an ugly circus school look great for photography.
I would like the backdrop to be self standing only.
**What would you build? Any specific materials, products, or DIY examples I should look at?** #hobby
