I am so angry for all of the money I have wasted this year. I could use some legitimate advice.
Earlier this year, I made reservations for a cruise. The cruise line website allowed me to make over $2,500 worth of mistakes. The help has been outsourced to another country and was useless and uncaring. I have to eat that cost and just learn from it.
I wasted several hundred dollars by planning a trip. I went on it even though I was too sick. I made it only one day and came home.
My wife wants more vacations. So I booked one where we would drive for hours to get to the destination. $1,000 later, all was good until I got a disastrous health diagnosis an hour and a half ago. I called and explained to the hotel clerk...Her 1st day on the job, of course. She said, essentially, tough. You eat the cost because you called to cancel less than a week ahead. I told her about the doctor thing and she said she'd talk to management. I've heard that before from new Gen Z employees. Always the same. Management never hears of it. They are so disinterested that they don't care and keep my money. Other human beings have ceased to care about others since COVID.
I am so worked up. I need to settle. I know I will not and the further loss of money eats into me. I have blown ALL of my emergency fund because things breaking in our home.
Please, only helpful posts. It is NOT FUNNY, so don't be a clown. #finance source
