Twenty-eight years after 28 Days Later and nearly two decades since 28 Weeks Later, Danny Boyle returns behind the camera with Alex Garland writing once more, reuniting much of the original team (including cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle).
Set in a post-apocalyptic Britain still isolated by the Rage virus, the film centers on a small island community and the journeys one family must undertake to survive.
Given the legacy of the franchise, expectations were high for a return that would both honor the original’s raw tension and expand its mythos. The result is a bold, uneven film that evokes strong reactions.
