Looking to live in van year round in Fl. In 2026, is it possible nowadays to run AC?
I dint have huge budget buti can spend 3k on ac.
I dont need to run it 24 7 but I'd like to run it at night and after peak sun so like 3pm onward.
I saw some ideas
Some peiple are creative and use like a portable eco wave 2 or 3where the exhaust tube goes out the passenger window.
Some use the outeqquip pro summit 2 ceiling 12V
If I used 800W of solar with
600a lithium battery and a alternatir converter to power will driving will that be enough to power it in FL
With a small low power fridge and phone charger?
Or is there better options

Possible, with a catch. A portable like the Wave 2 or 3 can cool a van from midafternoon into the evening, and three thousand can buy the unit. Florida at night is still warm and wet, and once the panels stop you are spending stored power. Most people who pull this off spend as much thought on the battery as on which hose goes out the window.
