When do you decide a motorcycle is a good fit for you?
Maybe this seems like a dumb question. I got my motorcycle license a few years ago (well into adulthood; 40+). I bought a Z400 to learn on. I’m ready for something a bit bigger so I’ve been shopping around for either another naked bike or a sport bike with fairings (not a supersport, but think CBR650R or something like that).
Maybe my body proportions aren’t the norm but but I went to a dealer yesterday and checked out several bikes (MT07, Ninja 650, 675NK, and even a Z900 and maybe a couple others). A vast majority don’t “feel good” to me. Now granted, that is just sitting still in the showroom, but most of them feel so “off” as I sit on them that I’m not really even interested in a test ride.
I know sitting still on your bike is maybe only 2% of the experience, but do most of you still take a bike out for a test ride even if the initial feel is “nope”? #motorcycles source
