Today I want to share something that I've been passionate about doing for a long, long time. To Write!
In so many years of writing poetry, poems, verses, books, essays, articles, etc., a very special liking for Japanese poetry awoke in me, very specifically the "haiku" poems. I don't know if you have ever heard or read about it, it is a very special poetic literary form, let's see! I'll tell you a little bit more...
The haiku is a Japanese poetic form that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third, always 17 syllables, always 5 - 7 - 5, always! and the three lines or verses must not rhyme with each other. The haiku developed from the hokku , the opening three lines of a longer poem known as a tanka . The haiku became a separate form of poetry in since the 17th century.
Almost all of the haiku poems refer to topics that evoke emotionality and although they are only three lines or verses, the message to be transmitted must be clear and precise. Here I share one of my own (all rights legally registered), which I hope you like. It is titled: "As Simple As That". Enjoy it!
