I like cars and I love knowing people's history of cars...here's my car history from 1988 - 2022 in the order that I bought them:

First of all it amazes me you could compile such an accurate list considering how many cars you have had!

1976 Honda Civic
1978 Cadillac Eldorado ( with gold moonroof and 5 cigarette lighters :)the 80's high school. the popular girls and I still smoked and drank champagne back then )
1978 BMW 321i (tried to make it fly, hydroplaned off a freeway, somersaulted five times down an embankment head to toe 320', great car climbed out the windshield I lived!)
1980 Porsche 924, (got towed away and auctioned by the city of Seattle while on a 3 month vacation, oops)
1992 Range Rover County (no more motorized wheelbarrows for me)
1995 Mercedes 1995 320SL
2006 Mercedes E320 wagon (currently running perfectly with 160,000 miles)
2004 Ford F350 (farm animal)
2012 Mercedes 550SL (should have kept the 1995 320SL)
202? Tesla convertible or the Tesla2

Well done! That is the list of an insistent and persistent car enthusiast and come what may! Whats the reason for wanting the swap the 320SL for 550SL ?
They both require diligence when in comes to maintenance as expected, however in my opinion things were built to last longer on the older Mercs. So many dumb little interior things just break . Switches, cupholders, , leather separating from stitching, things that should not fail, enough already I sound like a YELP fan!
I would have loved to condense all my car years from 1977 VW - 1988 VW Golf into a single Mustang 5.0 LX. I was desperately in love with those. The Z28 was the first new car I bought new and it was an absolute boss. Top 3 on my list is Plaid, Suburban, Z28. The rest either had a fatal flaw or no soul.
The Z28 was an absolute iconic Boss. I personally missed out on a chance to own a BMW Z8 and to this day still regret not going for the purchase. After owning convertibles since 1997, (forgot about the silver Miata i bought from my mom) i am addicted to top down models.
