Autobahn entering confusion!
so today I was driving on the right lane of Autobahn at 110 km/h. At one of the entry point, another car came to the merging lane at around same speed. For few seconds we were driving parallel. so I decided to increase the speed so that the other car can come to the right lane behind me. but the other car increased the speed too. by this time we reached at the end of the merging lane, so I checked the lane left to me and moved there. if there was a car on the left lane It would have been a tricky situation - as I would have conitnued driving on the right lane, but I don't know what the other car would have done- at the end of the merging lane there was the metal blocking and not the emergency lane.
now I feel like I should have slowed down so that the other car could have merged in front of me.
Anyway I am a relatively new driver and any advice on how to manage these kind of situations would be appreciated.
