π₯ When a Giant Pacific Octopus Gets Curious
I found this juvenile **Giant Pacific Octopus** on a solo dive and returned the next day to see if it wanted to be friends. After about 30 minutes of hovering motionless outside its den, curiosity eventually won.
It slowly reached out with one arm and touched my dome port. Moments later it was fully engaged, wrapping several arms around my camera and feeling every dial and button. When I adjusted my lights it startled briefly, then emerged from its den and moved around freely before eventually settling back into its little home.
My computer reminded me I was drifting into deco, so it was time for me to ascend.
