What relevance does "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" have in this day and age?
Besides Dune, DADoES has been on my mind lately and I've had some questions about it as someone who hasn't read it or even seen Bladerunner (which I'm aware is an adaptation of sorts?). I've attempted reading it, though I was kinda confused and not really in the right headspace at the time (also why I only read a little bit of Dune).
Dune still seems to hold importance today because the supposed themes are centered around ecology, religion, and technology, but I have no clue what DADoES' themes are or how they relate to the modern age. All I really know is it's about a bounty hunter chasing down androids in a post-WWIII type futuristic world. I think that if I knew more about what themes and ideas it's going for, it'll make reading it easier (maybe after Dune).
