My local thrift shop is awesome
In Brooklyn (where I am from, not where I moved to 😝) the inside of "Big Reuse" is, well it's pretty fruggin awesome. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
I think it really does a lot for someone who may exist in any part of LGBTQIA+ to come into a place and see something like this. Even if it's small, there is that little bit of guard you can just let down. Small bits of passive communication (which have an unambigous explicit meaning) can go a long way.
