What keybinds do you absolutely refuse to change no matter what game you're playing?
We all have those muscle memory keybinds that are basically hardwired into our brains at this point. For me it's WASD to move, E to interact, Shift to sprint. No matter what game I install, the first thing I do is remap everything to match that layout. If a game locks its keybinds and won't let me change them, it immediately loses serious points in my book.
The C for crouch debate got me thinking about how personal keybind preferences really are among PC players. Some people swear by C, others use Ctrl, and apparently a surprising number use V. Everyone has a system and everyone thinks their system is the only logical one.
It also makes me wonder how much keybind flexibility actually affects whether you stick with a game long term. I've personally dropped games that had terrible default layouts and no remapping options. That feels like such an easy thing for developers to get right, and yet so many still fumble it.
So what are your nonnegotiable keybinds? Are there any you've changed recently after years of doing it the same way? And do you think bad default keybinds are a dealbreaker, or do you adapt pretty easily? #technology source
