If you accidentally auto-renew a subscription on the App Store that you didn't intend to, just apply for a refund on Apple website
I had previously started the free trial for an app on the App Store, unaware that the subscription would be automatically renewed after three days. On the fourth day I received a notification on my phone saying that the amount for the annual subscription could not be deducted due to insufficient funds. I did not pay much notice as I thought that it would auto cancel the subscription that way, but then I realised I couldn't download any apps from the app store. It turns out that if you don't finish the payment, Apple holds up all of your purchases until you go through with the payment. At that moment I knew that I had to pay for the subscription anyway, so I immediately cancelled it after paying so that it wouldn't renew again. Even so, I still wanted my money back, so I went onto the Apple website to try and apply for a refund, but not expecting much as this could be seen as my own mistake. To my surprise, the application was reviewed and approved within 24 hours, and all the money went back into my account. I just wanted to share this experience to everyone who might be facing the same problem, but just remember to cancel all your free trials before the renewal date to prevent this in the first place. #finance source
