Schools and businesses are closing across the country and my manager tried to pressure me to come in to work.
There’s a heatwave in the UK right now and we got an email from the director yesterday saying the air con in the office is broken and to work from home wherever we can.
Most schools and businesses have no air con and are closing across to country because of the heat and my manager has been trying to pressure me to come in all week despite the broken air con at work.
I told her I’m not coming in to have meetings on my laptop with other people tuning in remotely, and I’m not willing compromise my own health for her preferences.
At least at home I can sit with no bottoms on in my T-shirt like Winnie the Pooh and eat ice cream all day!
