This War of Mine is incredible. First solo playthrough, and I’m blown away.
The emotional depth of this game is stunning. It feels more like playing a video game than a board game, in some ways. Random events feel authentically scary, and your work on behalf of the characters (acquiring food, water, supplies, etc) feels legitimately like you’ve made the difference between life and death. Combat is fun, the narratives are enthralling, scavenging is ultra gratifying. I can’t say enough about this. It’s a 10 out of 10, for me.
Has anybody played this with more than one player? I’m kind of curious how that would go. Solo seems like the most appropriate mode for this game. Also curious about the expansions. Anybody have any experience with them?
