Missed food waste bin collections + infestation in Barnet
Hi all.
We have had 3 weeks of missed food waste bin collections. I am a bit stuck in what to do because since the first week the bin has been infested with maggots, and I assume that is why they don't collect it, but we haven't got a formal reason. Usually I would try and clean the bin, but because of the hosepipe ban its not really a feasible option. Has anyone had a similar problem and ideas to solve it as soon as possible without risking infestation and avoiding a fine/ avoiding having to dispose of the entire bin. Does anyone know if lodging a complaint with the council is actually worth it and time effective because the infestation has gotten very bad, and i need a resolution quickly. Thanks
